Barberino bridge

Total collapse of a national road bridge over the Trebbia river near Bobbio (Piacenza, Emilia-Romagna) on 14 September 2015, triggered by the severe flooding of the Trebbia during intense late-summer rainfall. The Trebbia is known for its powerful flash floods in the upper valley. No fatalities or injuries were reported. The medieval Ponte Gobbo (humpback bridge), a symbol of Bobbio, survived the event despite heavy flooding around it; the collapsed structure was a modern RC road bridge.
