ARCUS Atlas record

Ponte della SP 83 per Ubaga e Montecalvo

During the 2-3 October 2020 flood, one span of the SP 83 bridge over the Arroscia at km 0+100, connecting Borghetto d'Arroscia with Ubaga and Montecalvo, collapsed. The Province of Imperia emergency report records the interruption of vehicular and pedestrian transit; the Regione Liguria works plan specifies reconstruction of the collapsed span. ARCUS classifies this as TC under its adopted span-and-lane-passability definition. The regional plan calls it 'crollo parziale' in the ordinary sense that only part of the bridge collapsed, not as an ARCUS PC classification. The exact collapse day within 2-3 October, casualties, original structural material and precise hydraulic failure process are not established by these sources. The recorded coordinates are Regione Liguria's intervention point and have not been independently confirmed as the bridge centroid. Date convention (curator, 15 October 2026): documented event window 2 October 2020 – 3 October 2020; the stored date 2020-10-02 is its first day, not a confirmed exact failure day.
