Bridge over Santerno river
Total collapse of a municipal bridge over the Santerno river near Casalfiumanese (Bologna, Emilia-Romagna) on 20 September 2014, triggered by hydraulic forces during autumn flooding. The Santerno, flowing from the Apennines through the Imola area, is prone to flash flooding in autumn. No fatalities or injuries were reported.
