Bridge over Via Laurentina

Total collapse of a cycle-pedestrian wooden overpass on via Laurentina near Piazzale Ardigò in Rome (Lazio) on 8 October 2020, caused by a crane truck that accidentally struck the underside of the timber bridge while manoeuvring on the road below, splitting the structure in two. The bridge was unoccupied at the time and no injuries were reported. Roma Capitale coordinated restoration works, with the missing span reinstalled in 2021.
