Bridge over Po river
Partial collapse of a municipal bridge over the Po river near Sanfront (Cuneo, Piemonte) on 24 November 2016, triggered by the exceptional flooding of the Po during the major November 2016 Piemonte flood event. Rainfall at Piaggia (CN) exceeded 632 mm total during the event, and the Po at its upper valley sections reached extremely high levels. No fatalities or injuries were reported.
