Bridge over Rio Piazzina
Total collapse of a provincial/regional bridge over the Rio Piazzina near Stramentizzo (Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige) on 29 October 2018, caused by the extreme hydraulic forces generated by Tempesta Vaia. The Rio Piazzina, a minor tributary in the Val di Fiemme area, was overwhelmed by the record rainfall associated with the storm. No fatalities directly attributed to this collapse.
