Bridge over Rio Coccodi

Total collapse of a municipal bridge over the Rio Coccodi near Uta (Cagliari, Sardinia) on 10 October 2018, triggered by the extreme flood that struck the Cagliari hinterland following 250 mm of rainfall in 24 hours. The same event caused the collapse of the SS195 bridge at Capoterra and forced the evacuation of 49 residents from Uta. No fatalities directly attributed to this collapse.
