A4 Milano–Torino bridge over Dora Baltea

Partial collapse / severe damage of the A4 Milano–Torino crossing over the Dora Baltea near Rondissone during the October 2000 flood. The ANPA post-event report documents failure of the bridge-side/approach area and states that the partial collapse was caused by a derivation channel formed by the floodwaters rather than by direct action of the main river. D'Angelo, Ballio & Ravazzani (2025), record P046, classifies the governing process as approach-embankment/lateral erosion.
